Hosting a webcast during a spring nor’easter
What do you do when you have an event scheduled with adverse weather in the forecast? You schedule an online event!
Great work by Suffolk University in their recent webcast outlining campus housing options for first-year students. Geared to both prospective students and admitted students, the webcast offered information on dorm room styles and locations. Throughout the presentation, the Suffolk team fielded questions ranging from student athlete accommodations to their RA program.
The event took place as Boston, Massachusetts (where Suffolk is located) braced for a spring nor’easter. Had this event been exclusively on-campus, they would have had to cancel it as the university shut down in preparation for the storm.
Instead, because it was broadcast live online, the event saw prospective students from 16 U.S. states and 4 international countries. Interested in learning more? Be sure to watch the presentation via the link below!
