New advanced video streaming feature helps college admissions and marketing departments expand the reach of live video content in support of parent, student and college counselor outreach
NEEDHAM, MASS. (PRWEB) SEPTEMBER 20, 2018
PlatformQ Education recently unveiled its latest innovation, Enhanced Simulcast, that connects college admissions and marketing departments to their target audience(s) via their preferred social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter (via Periscope) and YouTube Live.
PlatformQ Education’s Conduit platform is already the preferred digital engagement solution for over 200 partner colleges and universities; combining video streaming (live, on-demand, and simulive) with online chat, global SMS and e-mail automation. The latest addition of the Enhanced Simulcast feature enables college admissions and marketing professionals to reach their audiences wherever they are and wherever they choose to engage with their content.
“The ways students and schools connect have changed,” Gil Rogers, Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for PlatformQ Education said, “Leading institutions are building strong online engagement strategies that complement their legacy communication plans. This includes live streaming of relevant and impactful content across social media.”
Landmark College, one of the only accredited colleges in the United States designed exclusively for students who learn differently (including students with learning disabilities (such as dyslexia), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD)), are among the early adopters of this new feature.
Mark DiPietro, Director of Marketing & Communications for Landmark College said, “We are always looking for new and impactful ways to engage our student audience. We see the ability to extend the reach of our presentations on the Conduit platform across social media is a great way to ensure we’re meeting students, parents, and other key influencers on their preferred medium.”
Landmark College is also one of the leading users of the Campus Connect chat tool, one of the core features of the Conduit platform, which adheres to the internationally recognized best practices in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA to the extent possible. Last month, PlatformQ Education published their Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT); taking the lead for education technology vendors in ensuring their partner colleges and universities are compliant with current standards.
Donna Grand Pré, Dean of Admission and Financial Aid at Suffolk University added, “The ability to extend our live video content across social media platforms is a great opportunity for us. The admissions process is multi-channel and multi-influencer. This will enable us to reach students, parents, and counselors in new ways.”
The latest enhancements to Conduit are available immediately to all PlatformQ Education partners. Additionally, the company is hosting free consultations to support institutions with existing video streaming and site chat software to advise on social streaming capability as well as Section 508 compliance; including step-by-step processes to switch.
Institutions should visit http://www.platformqedu.com/switch to compare Conduit to their existing software and learn how to upgrade to integrate social streaming and best adhere to Section 508 standards.
