About Morehouse College

A private, historically black men’s liberal arts college in Atlanta, Georgia continues a tradition of excellence. Morehouse College is the largest men’s liberal arts college in the US and boasts an impressive list of alumni that includes Martin Luther King Jr., Howard Thurman, Spike Lee and Samuel L. Jackson. Students can choose from over 30 majors and are provided opportunities to participate in a variety of internships, study abroad, research, fraternity and honor societies, and leadership programs.

Event Background

Last year, Morehouse College found themselves needing to run their Admitted Student event virtually at the beginning of the pandemic. This year, through their new partnership with PlatformQ Education, they were able to host this two day event on Conduit with all of the bells and whistles to provide an engaging environment for attendees to learn, ask questions, connect, and prepare to become part of the Morehouse community.

Sessions were geared towards both the future Morehouse Men and their families with content dedicated to the different concerns each population has about the college preparation process. This approach allowed for more candid conversation and audience feedback of feeling supported and connected.

Within the institutionally branded platform were important links and additional virtual content for attendees to take their next steps. On average, the attendees interacted with 22 different engagement touchpoints. These various pieces of content being trackable provides robust reporting for future admissions strategy and for individual student follow up afterwards.

The Results

The response was overwhelming! Future Morehouse Men and their families were excited to attend and the engagement metrics show a high level of appreciation and connection throughout the two day event. They had 724 unique event visitors across the two days of live and simulive presentations alongside the dedicated live chats. Many of the attendees returned to the Conduit platform for continuous engagement through the on-demand content with 99% rating their experience good to excellent.

As we all look to connect with students in this vital spring yield season, providing opportunities to engage with the institution in both scheduled and on-demand capacities will be an important part of Morehouse College’s enrollment strategy.
